I think Colombian forces are doing this with help from US military. US is playing a dangerous game in the region. It's promoting enmity among the neighbors for vested interests.

I think these are the deliberate attempts by the Colombia and USA to prompt Venezuela for attacking Colombia so that they can oust the democratically elected Chavez government.
